Community FAQs
What are the community policies regarding property maintenance?
Our community policies require all residents to maintain their properties to a standard that preserves the aesthetic and value of Brookshire Village. This includes regular lawn care, timely repairs, and adherence to architectural guidelines. For detailed information, please refer to the by-laws available on the residents’ page.
How can I ensure my home is secure?
We recommend several security measures to protect your home, including the use of dusk-to-dawn lights, which are mandatory. These lights help deter crime and illuminate sidewalks. If your light bulb burns out, contact us at neighbor@brookshirevillage.org for assistance. Additionally, ensure all doors and windows are locked, and consider installing a security system.
Where can I find the latest community news?
The latest community news and updates are available on our news page. Here, you can find information on upcoming events, community projects, and important announcements. We also upload our monthly newsletter, which provides a comprehensive overview of what’s happening in Brookshire Village.
What should I do if I have a question about the by-laws?
If you have any questions regarding the by-laws, you can contact a member of the board through the residents’ page. Our directors are available to provide clarification and guidance on any community regulations or policies.
Can I find people who do maintenance work?
To discover people who do home maintenance, check on our Village News page. If you have someone you have had a good experience with, let us know so we may share their name with the neighbors.
Can I rent out my property in Brookshire Village?
Brookshire Village is a no rental community, meaning that properties cannot be leased or rented out. This policy helps maintain the integrity and stability of our neighborhood, fostering a strong sense of community among residents.
How do I pay my community dues?
HOA dues can be paid by mailing a check to our treasurer. The contact information will be provided in your dues statement. You may also contact a board member for assistance. We are looking into adopting an online payment system.
What is the process for architectural changes to my home?
Any architectural changes to your home must be approved by the board. Please submit your plans through the residents’ portal for review. This process ensures that all modifications align with community standards and preserve the neighborhood’s aesthetic.
Who should I contact for community events?
For information about community events, you can reach out to our events coordinator through the contact information provided on the residents’ portal. For community events follow the City of Carmel link above.

The Homeowners Association Board of Directors is always happy to hear from Village residents. Whether you have questions about community policies, concerns about maintenance issues, suggestions for neighborhood improvements, or ideas for community events, we want to hear from you. Please contact us at neighbor@brookshirevillage.org. We also encourage all residents to attend and participate in our annual meeting, where you can engage directly with the board and fellow neighbors about community matters.
